Linda & Sean - 5.27.12
Linda & Sean planned a beautiful outdoor wedding, with visions of guests dancing beneath the stars all evening long. They asked us to design a romantic stationery suite that embodied this concept. We began with a silhouette of the couple dancing in front of a setting sun, layered this beneath an intricate deep blue tree and hand made a three piece folder that opens to reveal the invitation set against a starry sky. Linda and Sean carried the art work we created for them throughout the wedding, incorporating it into the programs, menus, and even on their lovely cake! Michelle & Scott - 9.2.2012
Michelle and Scott came to Tulaloo wanting to incorporate art work by the bride's talented sister, Karin, into their vintage chic wedding. We were able to use Karin's paintings throughout the stationery suite, along with a Robert Browning quote that was meaningful to the couple. In addition to the custom invitation folder, we designed and created programs, menus and seating cards for the wedding day. Photography compliments of Maya Myers Photography.
Heidi & Michael - 11.11.11
Heidi and Michael celebrated their marriage with an intimate winemaker's dinner, and we designed their luxurious wedding invitation around the reception. We worked with an autumnal palette and a variety of textures and materials to give the invitation a warm and welcoming feel. The invitation is letterpressed in plum ink on cotton card stock. We worked with watercolor artist Amanda Brooke, who hand painted a border of grape vines across each and every invite. The painted invitation were wrapped in a natural unryu paper, and tied with a burgundy velvet ribbon and a wine cork. The invitations were packaged in a cork lines burgundy box, and sealed with custom address labels.
Dream Come True - Charity Gala 2013
We are proud to work with Dream Come True of Western Connecticut, and create their Charity Auction Gala Invitations each year. The 2013 Gala featured an "Under the Sea" theme, and Tulaloo create two separate invitations for the event. First we designed a boxed invitation suite, which were hand delivered to local businesses. The invitation and all components were wrapped in a translucent vintage oceanographic map and tied with cotton twine. We next created underwater themed invites which were mailed to individual guests. The deep sea imagery was carried throughout the evening, on signage, programs and menus.
